The NNU Wellness Center is home to NNU Counseling Services which offers a variety of services for students, including counseling, self-help materials, groups and workshops.
Undergraduate students are eligible to participate in any of the counseling services during the academic year. Faculty, staff, and graduate students are eligible for consultation, screening and referral, and crisis services during the academic year. Departmental services include personality inventories, groups, consultations, crisis services, and other trainings as scheduled through the Director of Counseling Services.
NNU Health Services has moved from the Wellness Center to 508 Ivy, the Blue House, around the corner from the Wellness Center. Undergraduate students are eligible to participate in any of the health services during the academic year. Most students are seen by the school doctor on a walk-in, first come, first served basis during clinic hours.
Health Insurance (Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) NNU requires all undergraduate and international (undergraduate and graduate) students to have health insurance. NNU facilitates a Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) for those who are uninsured or who have limited access to health care. For SHIP information and details, please download this Student Health Insurance Packet.
The following groups of students will be automatically billed for the SHIP:
Students whose insurance is compliant with the Affordable Care Act may waive out of the SHIP (exception - international students):
