New Student Orientation Check-in and Registration

Thursday August 27, 2020

New Student Orientation (NSO) details are subject to change pending CDC and State of Idaho instruction. It's about keeping our entire community healthy and our campus open—NNU and those in attendance must follow COVID protocols and guidelines.

Schedule

Two family members/guests per student, masks required. Health screening (questionnaire) for all new/returning students prior to approval to move into a residence hall

Registration/Check-in/Wellness Screening, Group A, Conrad Commons
*Group A: all new students with last names beginning with A-L

9:00 a.m. – 12:00
Check into residence hall, must have Wellness clearance, Group A
*Cars will be marked Y or N if they want help with unloading car

12:30 p.m. – 1:00
Cleaning of Culver and Ford Hall between groups

12:30 p.m. – 4:00
Registration/Check-in/Wellness Screening, Group B, Conrad Commons
*Group B: all new students with last names beginning with M-Z

STEP 1

Pick up your orientation packet

 

All new students must check in. For students who didn’t attend a Jump Start event, make sure you meet with an admissions representative to complete the Student Information Sheet & Temporary Registration Permit.

STEP 2

Take care of the details

 

  • Have your picture taken for your ID card in the Learning Commons. ID cards are required for meals beginning Saturday.
  • Check housing assignment.
  • Submit records for required immunizations to the Wellness Center, if not previously submitted.
  • Confirm your NNU box number. Go to the NNU Mail Room in the Student Center to confirm your NNU box number and obtain a key or combination.

STEP 3

Make payment arrangements for your student account

 

Pay your student account at Student Account Services. You are not officially enrolled until you have a schedule and have made payment or payment arrangements on your student account.

Math Placement

Contact Monti Channon if you need to take a math placement test. The test is free of charge for incoming students. It takes about 45 minutes. An appointment is required.

If ENGL0900 is on your schedule and you would like to try to test out of it, contact Monti Channon. The test is free of charge for incoming students. It takes about an hour. An appointment is required.

Summer Testing

Contact Monti Channon to take a math or English Accuplacer this summer. On-campus and remotely proctored options are available. An appointment is required. There is no fee for incoming students.
