This week NNU announced the appointment of Andy Cornelius as the University’s new Director of Community Life. Cornelius has been serving as an admission counselor at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas.
"The Student Life team is excited to have Andy join us as the new Director of Community Life,” Karen Pearson, NNU Interim Vice President for Student Life, said. “His experience in Christian higher-ed and his desire to build relationships with and impact university students will serve him well as he helps us continue to create community here at NNU."
A graduate from MidAmerica Nazarene University with majors in Ministry and Bible & Theology, Cornelius is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Kansas. Andy is deeply committed to Christian higher education and is looking forward to his new role.
“I am excited to join the dynamic student life team at NNU,” Cornelius said. “I can already tell that the University cares deeply about its students and their development and I am thrilled to continue that work. I strive to be a place of hope and care where students feel supported, encouraged and valued as vital members of the NNU community.”
The Director of Community Life oversees the on-campus student experience, including residential life, campus events and activities and works closely with the Student Government Association and collaboratively with the entirety of the Student Life team.
