Jeff Einfalt is ready for the challenge. The Boise native, local high school graduate and veteran college coach was hired as NNU’s first ever women’s lacrosse coach. In December 2018, NNU announced that they will be forming a Women’s Lacrosse Club beginning play in the 2019-20 school year. They will be competing in the very competitive Northwest Women’s Lacrosse League (NWLL).
Jeff has been active in Idaho and Colorado lacrosse communities since 2008 where he achieved success at the youth, high school and collegiate level. Since 2016, he has served as Head Coach of the Durango, Colorado women’s high school team. Prior to his job relocation that sent him to Colorado, Einfalt was immersed in the Boise women’s lacrosse community as the head coach of the Boise State University women’s lacrosse team and the Rocky Mountain High School’s Varsity team. He was also the girl’s program director for the local youth league.
“We are super excited to have Jeff on board to launch our women’s lacrosse program at NNU,” said Director of Club Sports, Lance Howard. "I am excited to see the leadership he brings to this first time program as we expand our women's sport offerings and start our lacrosse program."
The Nighthawks Lacrosse program will start competing in the 2019-2020 school year and will take on Northwest Women’s Lacrosse League teams including: Idaho, Montana, Montana State, Pacific Lutheran, Portland, Portland State and Lewis and Clark College.
"I am honored to become the first head women's lacrosse coach at Northwest Nazarene University," said Einfalt. "I am excited about the opportunity to build a program at a university who strives to challenge athletes spiritually, academically and athletically. I want to thank the search committee and everyone who has given me this opportunity."
