Important Information Prior to Registration

In order to be registered for an NNU course, payment or allocation of Idaho State Advanced Opportunities Funds must be done at the time of registration.

Idaho Public Schools

When using Advanced Opportunities Funds

A student account must be created with the State of Idaho Advanced Opportunities program and wait to be approved as an Idaho Public School student. Once approved, you will need to go in and allocate your money to the Institutions that offer the college credit.

Both steps (college registration and Advanced Opportunities allocation) must be completed before the “Student Access Window” Deadline per session. (See the State of Idaho Advanced Opportunity website for specific dates or changes.) Be sure to check with your high school for their specific registration process and deadlines.

Public Schools Registration Deadline –

Fall & Year-Long Courses – October 6, 2023

Spring Courses – March 8, 2024

If a student is not using Advanced Opportunity funds, they can follow the guidelines for private schools noted below.

Spring Courses – March 31, 2024

Private Schools

Private School students must submit payment for each concurrent credit course at the time of registration. Students will not be enrolled in their course until payment is made in full.

Completely Miss the Deadline?

You can still petition to receive credit before the end of the course. If the petition is approved, there will be a $50 late fee per course on top of tuition charges due within two weeks of petition approval.

When you register for a course through the Concurrent Credit Program, you become a part-time student at Northwest Nazarene University. Like all NNU students, your academic records will be maintained by the NNU registrar’s office. When you attend college or university after high school graduation, you will be a First-time Freshman. Concurrent credits do not make you a transfer student.

Course offerings are normally reserved for qualified high school students, depending on the course. Special permission from the concurrent instructor and NNU is required for students who are freshmen.

Concurrent Credit courses are $75/credit. Most courses are 3 or 4 credits.
