The companies providing the following scholarship opportunities are in no way affiliated with, or endorsed by, Northwest Nazarene University (NNU). The intent of this page is to provide information about scholarships for which we have become aware through the respective companies' marketing efforts. There is no guarantee any NNU student will receive any of the offers mentioned below. The application for each of these scholarships is separate and independent of NNU. Please refer to the respective websites for application information, and read carefully the scholarship application and eligibility requirements.

Global Perspectives Scholarship

Amount: $1000, $250 for runner-ups

 

Requirement:  Essay prompt, application, and additional requirements found here.

 

Deadline:  August 1st, 2022

 

Eligibility:

  • Must be a high school or college student who will be attending an accredited college or university in 2022.
  • Students must follow all instructions and agree to Rustic Pathways’ Scholarship Agreement.
  • Students must submit and complete the application form by August 1st, 2022 11:59 PM PDT

Aging Matters Scholarship

Amount: $1,500

 

Requirement:  Short essay submission and completed application

 

Deadline:  May 15,2022

 

Eligibility:

  • Existing college student or incoming freshman
  • Attending any 2 or 4 year accredited college or university as a full time student

Tortuga Study Abroad Scholarship

Sponsor:  Tortuga
 

Amount: $1000

 

Requirement:  Submit Application found here.

 

Deadline:  April 15, 2022 for Fall 2022. 

 

Eligibility:

  • Must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or currently studying in the US on a student visa
  • Be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at a four-year, degree-granting college or university in the U.S.
  • Have applied to or been accepted into a study abroad program eligible for credit by your college or university

IBOE Scholarship

Sponsor:  Church of the Nazarene
 

Amount: Typically $500

 

Requirement:  Submit Application found here.

 

Deadline: February 15 

 

Eligibility:

  • The IBOE scholarships are only offered to undergraduate students (with the exception of students at NTS, where only postgraduate programs are offered). Doctoral students are not eligible at any institution. If you have a student applicant that is not eligible, please notify them, and do not submit their application

  • Nazarene membership is not a requirement, but special instructions regarding recommendation forms are given in some of the scholarship guidelines for those who are not Nazarene.

  • Please read all the guidelines carefully so that you are familiar with the requirements.

Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship

Amount: $40,000 and a paid internship

Deadline:  January 25, 2022

 

Eligibility:

  • Must be employment authorized to work in the US. Example: Employment Authorization Document holder, Permanent Resident, or US Citizen.
  •  Be high school senior in the U.S. who has completed or is currently enrolled in a computer science course – dual enrollment courses also count! If you haven’t taken a formal computer science course but have learned on your own, you can opt in to take a brief assessment instead.
  • Be planning to attain a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or other computer science related field of study.
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
  • Must demonstrate financial need

Discover Student Loans Scholarship Award

Eligibility:

  • Must be a US citizen or resident
  • Must be at least 16 and be a high school senior, enrolled at least half time in a degree-granting college in the US, a student who has earned a GED, or a parent of a student that meets a previous requirement
