Biology

NNU’s Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology is a multidisciplinary degree focusing on broad biology fundamentals. To make sure the student’s education includes much more than a textbook, NNU professors focus on hands-on learning in labs and offer summer research opportunities with professor-student collaboration. This degree is ideal for students pursuing biological related careers upon graduation.

Department Goals & Student Outcomes

  1. Students will be able to apply core concepts of biology in various contexts (ex. health, field biology, research, and future endeavors).
  2. Students will be able to apply the principles of science and methods of scientific inquiry to the study of biology.
  3. Students will be able to demonstrate proper lab/field techniques to collect and analyze biological data.
  4. Students will be able to evaluate their spiritual beliefs, ethics, and actions as they relate to science and the natural world.

The professors are awesome. They are all open to conversation to any kind of question I ever had. Every single professor was open to discuss. That's incredible for me because where I am from people are not like that. I have a really good relationship with all of them here and they are always open to talk with me.
