Bachelor of Science in Engineering
NNU's interdisciplinary Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree gives students the option of choosing a concentration in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or engineering physics. This degree prepares students to enter the workforce, take licensure exams, or attend graduate school.
NNU's curriculum is designed to challenge our students and prepare them to succeed in highly competitive career and graduate school field. See how our curriculum stacks up to other schools (.pdf).
Engineering Research Teams
Students have the opportunity to compete nationally by joining one of our engineering research teams, including teams that compete in robotics, work with NASA, and launch their experiments into space.
Engineering Graduate Success
Graduates from our program have a nearly 100 percent acceptance rate when applying to graduate schools such as Purdue, Georgia Tech, Colorado State, Washington State, and Indiana University.
Employers of NNU engineering graduates rave about our students. NNU engineering has had over 250 graduates over the past 55 years, many of whom are now in leadership roles in engineering companies or universities around the country, including: Aptina, Boeing, Cornell, DC Engineering, Dynetics, Idaho National Lab, Intel, Johns Hopkins, Lockheed Martin, Micron, MIT Lincoln Labs, NASA, Pacific Northwest National Lab, Raytheon, Smithsonian, Synopsys, Triquint Semiconductor, and Teledyne Brown.
Our professors focus on making sure that your education includes much more than a textbook. Hands-on learning and team design projects are our focus, made possible in our fabrication, mechanical and engineering labs. Summer internships in industry environments and the senior capstone project also give students the opportunity to learn first-hand what it is to be an engineer.
