Hey! My name is Landon Loeber and I am a senior at Northwest Nazarene University this year!
Along with being an Elementary Education major and student teaching in a fifth grade class, I have the privilege of serving you as Student Body President. I am honored and excited for this year and all the opportunities that we will get to experience.
Speaking of opportunities, we as a campus body have the chance to be students during a time of great change. We will see the start of a new science building, the search for a university president, the date change of Homecoming, the addition of winter banquet which will replace the homecoming banquet, and much more. With all this change it will be great to see our campus and student life set the tone for years to come.
This year I encourage each one of you to get involved in activities. Whether it be in ministry clubs, music, attending athletic games, intramurals, events, and/or student government, there is a place for you. It will be exciting to see our clubs, athletic support, and student events grow because of enthusiasm and involvement. If you need help getting plugged in please feel free to contact me.
As far as my personal life goes, I’m your typical senior guy desperate to find a girl in the last few precious months left before graduation. Just kidding. However, I do like running, swimming, biking, and I want to do a triathlon before long. I also enjoy music and falling asleep during the Boise Philharmonic - not that it is boring, just very relaxing. Travel is another one of my hobbies and I can proudly say that Australia and Antarctica are the only two continents I have yet to step foot on. In looking at the future, I would love to teach overseas next year in some capacity.
