The Financial Affairs Sector is one of five sectors that make up the administration of Northwest Nazarene University. Financial Affairs provides facility and maintenance support services to the university as well as creating and maintaining financial operation of the budget.  

This Sector is also responsible for the operation of the Bookstore, the Business Office, Human Resources, Conferences and Events, Environmental Services/Operations, and the Environmental Health and Safety Office.

The Office of Financial Affairs is responsible for oversight of all activities of the Financial Affairs Sector. You can find the Financial Affairs Office in the Emerson Administration Building at the center of campus in room #106.  To reach us by phone, dial (208) 467-8528.

The Business Office is responsible for the general ledger accounting functions of the university.  Included in the Business Office are student loans, student accounts, other accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and the switchboard.

The Human Resource office is responsible to oversee and manage the human resource programs including the areas of recruitment, training, employee relations, compensation and benefit program management, performance evaluation, and policy/procedure development and implementation.

The Office of Conferences and Events provides scheduling services, event planning, production and technical support for university meetings, conferences, and special events.  The office also rents facilities and services for summer conferences, meetings, and special events.

Environmental Services is responsible for the cleanliness, appearance, and operational effectiveness and efficiency of the university campus.  The University Post Office receives and distributes mail to the campus community.

Environmental Health & Safety Office - Linda Waller
The Environmental Health and Safety Office coordinates development, training, oversight, and outreach activities relating to occupational and environmental health needs on campus.  These areas of coordination include emergency management planning, chemical safety, hazardous waste disposal, workplace safety, and maintaining related campus programs and/or policies in compliance with the governmental agencies that impact such diverse areas.
