Student Use of Equipment for Class Projects
The TMR has a limited amount of media equipment available (free or at reduced rates for students) that may be used in completing class assignments and projects. In order to qualify, students must have their instructor call in and acknowledge that the equipment will be used for class purposes.
If an instructor is requiring all students in class to use specific media equipment, the instructor should make prior arrangements with the TMR to make sure that there is enough equipment available to accommodate the students. In this case instead of having the instructor call for each student the instructor can submit a list of the students in the class to the TMR.
Scheduling & Reservations for Regular Classroom Use
Faculty members may request portable equipment, not normally available in a classroom, to be delivered and set-up in the event that it is needed for a regularly scheduled class. The Technology and Media Resource Center requires a minimum of 12 hours advance notice. Requests can be submitted by phone, (208)467-8111, or by emailing media(at)nnu.edu. Equipment requested on short notice should be picked up by the instructor at the TMR, located in Wiley 119. No charges are made for using equipment from the TMR for regularly scheduled classroom instruction. If student operators from the TMR are required during a class session, departments will be billed for the students' time.
If equipment is needed in a classroom for an entire semester or school year, special arrangements should be made with Technology and Media Resources.
Scheduling & Reservations for Personal and Event Use
The equipment listed above is also available for rent for personal or other event purposes. Please reserve equipment at least 12 hours in advance or at least one week in advance if you require an on-campus set up to be done (student labor charges will be added for this service). The TMR will not set up equipment for off-campus events. All equipment that does not require the assistance of the TMR to set it up should be picked by the reservation holder.
All equipment should be returned by 9 a.m. on the day due to avoid any late fees.
