Cell Phones at NNU
Employee Cell & Mobile Device Policy
As of January 2010, the NNU administration created a new policy for Mobile Devices used by employees in their work for NNU. This policy was developed in an effort to provide a fair allowance each month to assist employees to pay for their mobile services when needed for their position at NNU. It is also designed to fall within newly published IRS guidelines. If you would like to read the entire policy, click HERE.

AT&T Cell Phone Discounts Now Available!
NNU now has an agreement with AT&T that allows employees and students of NNU to obtain a corporate discount!
Employees: Call 1-800-331-0500 and ask for FAN2909971 to be added to your account. The NNU employee discount is 15%.
Students: Call 1-800-331-0500 and ask for FAN2909978 to be added to your account. The NNU student discount is 7%.
Verizon Discounts for NNU Employees and Students!
NNU students and employees may take advantage of the NNU corporate discount on their personal Verizon cell phone plan. The only stipulation is that the person who is the "owner" of the cell phone plan must have an NNU email address.
If you have a current family share plan, this discount can even be applied to the main phone number on that family plan, if the plan is in the name of the NNU employee or student who signs up for the discount using their NNU email address.

Additional Notes on Obtaining the Verizon Discount:
- If a student or employee signs up and they have a Family Share Plan, the discount can be applied only if the primary account holder has an NNU email address.
- The web address to sign up for the discount is www.verizonwireless.com/getdiscount. When you complete the online form, an email is sent to your NNU email address with links and instructions for completing the sign-up process.
- If using GroupWise webmail: When you open the reply email from Verizon to get started and register your account, you need to right click on the "Getting Started" link provided in the email, and select "Open link in a new window." Otherwise, the link tries to open inside the webmail box, and the Verizon site will say "Your session has timed out."
- When students put in their email address, the discount site will not recognize "@student.nnu.edu" as a valid email address for the discount. Drop the word "student" to get it to function correctly. For example, a student email would be simply "jadoe(at)nnu.edu."
