Laser Toner Order Form
Laser Printer Toner Cartridge FAQ's
Can I order laser toner cartridges on this web page if my printer is not on the contract?
We are sorry, but only laser toner cartridges for laser printers contracted through Fisher's can be ordered through this web page. If you have a "non-contracted" printer and wish to order a toner cartridge, you may purchase a replacement toner cartridge from any retailer, including Fisher's. If you wish to order from Fisher's, their phone number is 947-3600. The cost of toner cartridges for non-contracted laser printers is charged and paid for directly by your department.
How do I know if my printer is on the laser printer contract?
If you are not sure your printer is on the contract, call the Department of Information Technology to be sure, 467-8951. If you need to purchase a new printer, replace a dead printer, or move a printer, please call the Technical Response Center and speak to Ted Wheeler, 467-8111.
How long does it take to get our orders from Fisher's?
If Fisher's receives your order before 3:00 p.m., your order can usually be delivered to Media Technology by 3:00 p.m. the next business day.
Why do we have a laser printer contract?
A laser printer contract was created to help reduce costs to individual departments for using laser printers. When considering the high costs of toner cartridges, labor and parts, the per copy price greatly reduces the cost of maintaining and using your printer. When maintained well, laser printers can last several years.
What printers are eligible for the laser printer contract?
All networked black & white laser printers on campus are required to be on the contract per the approved campus policy. Color laser printers may be added to the campus contract as needed. Feel free to check with Information Technology at 467-8951 for information on adding your laser printer.
What is the cost per copy on the printer contract?
Black & White prints are 1.3 cents each and color prints are 19 cents each. The color prints are more expensive simply because color toner is very expensive.
I like that price for laser printer maintenance. How do I sign up?
If your office uses a laser printer and you wish to add it to the NNU-Fisher's contract, or if you have any questions regarding the NNU-Fisher's printer contract, please call the Office of Information Technology, 467-8951.
Can the TRC help me troubleshoot my laser printer issues?
When a laser printer is on the contract, the Technical Response Center can also assist with troubleshooting and connection issues. Non-contracted laser printers are not supported by the Technical Response Center.
What about my deskjet printer?
The Office Information Technology no longer supports deskjet printers with troubleshooting or connection issues and these printers are not eligible for the Fisher's contract.
What if our office wants to buy a new printer?
Check with the Technical Response Center (TRC) before purchasing equipment so they can check the equipment for compatibility with the NNU network. The TRC is often able to help you save money on printer purchases. (The computer policy, page 11, states that anyone connecting equipment to the NNU network must first have approval through the Department of Information Technology.)
