Technology and Media Resource Center (TMR)

If you experience difficulty with your campus network connection, computer hardware or software, the telephone system, or other technological resources,  the Technology and Media Resource Center (TMR) is available to help you!  You may contact them as follows:

On the Help website, you will be able to check for recent technology issues on the campus, look at the FAQ page for self-help solutions that you may use to fix an issue yourself, and check the procedure pages for other common technology solutions. If you cannot find the solution you need, you can send an email or call the TMR and a ticket will be set up so the issue can be resolved for you.

How can the TMR help me?

If you are unable to find a solution on the help.nnu.edu web page, you may submit an email to help@nnu.edu with a complete description of the issue.

When you contact the TMR, a "help ticket" will be created for your case.  As work proceeds on the issue, you may receive emails asking for additional information, or you may receive updates on the progress made.  Each ticket is assigned a number.  If you call the TRC, please have the ticket number from the email that you receive regarding your technical issue.

If the TMR personnel send requests for additional information via email, please reply promptly.  This will help them troubleshoot the issue you are having more efficiently. They may also contact you via telephone, so please include your main telephone number when requesting help. 

Remember: The more information on the issue that you give when asking for help, the more quickly the TMR personnel will be able to help you resolve your issue.

How can I get help in person?

If you wish, you may visit the TMR in person to request assistance. The TMR is located in the Wiley Building, Room 119. Hours during the academic school year (mid-August to mid-May) are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. (These hours may vary during holidays or Spring Break.)

In addition to daytime hours, a TMR technical assistant is available in the Wiley 115 computer lab on weekday evenings as follows:

Mon-Thurs:  5 to 10 PM
Fridays: 5 to 9 PM
Saturdays: noon to 5 PM
Sundays:  noon to 8 PM

The technical assistant in Wiley can be contacted via the regular TMR phone number, 208-467-8111, during these hours.
