To more easily service NNU technology needs, several teams perform specific duties within the Department of Information Technology:

Technical Response Center (TRC) – This team, managed by Ted Wheeler, is the front line group to handle and/or assign all issues regarding campus technical support, computer hardware needs, and computer network maintenance.  For more info, you may go to www.nnu.edu/help. The TRC also has many self-help articles available on their home page (http://help.nnu.edu).  The TRC office is located on the middle floor of the Emerson Administration Building.

Administrative Computing – Under the direction of Brian Stillman, this office supports all University administrative departments in their workflow and business processes.  They also assist and train employees in the utilization of the administrative data systems.  For more information, you may email the Office of Information Technology or dial 467-8951.

Campus Network Team  – The network team is constantly working to keep you connected to computer, telephone and other technology resources supported by the University network.  Under the leadership of Curtis Spears, this team specializes in updating and maintaining the campus network.  To see the current schedule of expected maintenance days, click HERE. If you ever have any connection issues, you should contact the TRC, and report all of the details of the issue you are having.

Telecommunications – You may have noticed the VoIP (voice over internet protocol) telephone system on campus.  The Telecommunications Team keeps campus phones and faxes working as smoothly as possible, and watches for any needed upgrades or maintenance issues.  Need more info on the phones?  Check the NNU phones page for office phone information, and the student phones page for specific dorm phone information.  For technical issues on phones, you may contact the Technical Response Center.  Please include specific details of the problem you have encountered and the phone number from which you are calling.  An alternate phone number to use when troubleshooting your issue would be very helpful for the TRC.
