Victims of sexual assault/rape are strongly encouraged to report offenses immediately. Sexual assault is any sexual act directed against another person, forcibly or against that person's will. Rape is carnal knowledge of a female, forcibly and against her will.

If a rape has occurred, it is important that the victim follow these guidelines:

1. DO NOT shower.
2. DO NOT change clothes.
3. DO NOT disturb the area where the rape occurred.
4. Seek medical attention.

NOTE: This is to preserve as much evidence as possible.

On campus you can receive assistance from a resident director, Counseling/Health Services and the Department of Security.

Off campus you can receive assistance from: The Nampa Police Department.   They will give you instructions as to what you need to do and give you any other important contact numbers.

When you call these numbers:

1. Give your name.
2. Describe the situation clearly and accurately.
3. Don't hang up!  Let the person you are talking to end the conversation. Other information may be needed.
