Idaho Science Olympiad held on NNU’s campus

NNU hosted the Idaho Science Olympiad on campus last Saturday, April 5. This marks the 13th year that the event has been staffed by NNU and industry leaders.

Nearly 600 junior high and high school students from the Boise Valley and around Idaho competed as school teams for gold, silver and bronze medals. Competitors participated in exciting events like “Robo-cross,” Anatomy, Bridge building, “Write-it, Do-it,” “Materials Science” and “Sounds of Music.”

The Science Olympiad is both a fun and entertaining learning experience for participants, parents and spectators alike. The winning teams will advance to the National Science Olympiad May 16-17 at the University of Central Florida in Orlando (soinc.org).

A special thanks goes to the Micron Foundation and Hewlett Packard for sponsoring the event with prizes and financial support.
