NNU will be hosting the Idaho Science Olympiad Saturday, April 5th, the 12th year this event has been staffed by NNU and industry leaders. Nearly 500 junior high and high school students from the Boise Valley will converge on campus to compete as school teams for gold, silver and bronze medals. Events include “Robo-cross,” Anatomy, Bridge building, “Write-it, Do-it,” “Materials Science” and “Sounds of Music.”

Because younger students would be interested to see some of these events, NNU community families are welcome to watch the competitions at the Johnson Sports Center Field House between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The winning teams advance to the National Science Olympiad (soinc.org).

Additional thanks go to the Micron Foundation and HP, who sponsor the event with prizes and financial support, and to NNU students and faculty for creating and speed-grading the 46 competitions.
