Come “Rock & Root” for the Crusaders

It’s time to even the score on the hardwood. Come cheer the Crusaders to victory on Tuesday, Dec. 10, as the NNU men’s basketball team renews its rivalry with The College of Idaho in Part 2 of the United Heritage Insurance Mayor’s Cup.

The Coyotes picked up the first win in the oldest college basketball rivalry in the state of Idaho beating NNU 93-83 on Nov. 5 in Caldwell. The Crusaders had won seven straight prior to November’s win by the Coyotes, and we now look to begin a new streak with Dec. 10’s game. The series began in 1934, and this rivalry game has been played 195 times.

The night will be filled with fun for fans. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. with a concert by Nampa’s own “High Street Band,” which features a plethora of NNU alumni. After “Rocking” with the High Street Band, stay to “Root” for the Crusaders as game time is at 7 p.m. in the Johnson Sports Center.
