The NNU School of Theology and Christian Ministries will host an open panel during Homecoming & Family Weekend 2013. The panel, entitled “Theology at NNU in the next 100 years,” will fit within the full lineup of Centennial events.

The presentation features different elements that address both the present and future state of theology within the NNU community and the general Church of the Nazarene. “We will be showing a fifteen-minute video of the School of Theology faculty as they describe their work and the trajectory they envision for themselves in the future,” stated Dr. Brent Peterson who is helping to coordinate the panel.

Following the video presentation, Dr. Dean Blevins, Professor of Practical Theology and Christian Discipleship at Nazarene Theological Seminary, will respond to the video by discussing how NNU’s vision and goals stand within the Church of the Nazarene as a whole. Dr. Blevins will then be joined by two members of NNU’s faculty to participate in a Q&A about the theological future of the church.

The open panel will be held on Friday, November 8, at 2:30 p.m. in Emerson Auditorium of the Administration Building.
