NNU holds centennial-year Wesley Conference
Northwest Nazarene University will welcome pastors, students, scholars and laypersons to campus for its annual Wesley Center Conference, Feb.7-8. Participants come from across the United States.
This year’s conference “Leadership in God’s Reign of Love” will focus on Christian leadership, with its main goal being to consider what leadership might best look like in the ongoing establishment of God’s kingdom.
Keynote speakers will include Drs. Walter Wright, Tom Nees, Ed Robinson and Tammy Condon.
One of the keynote speakers, Dr. Walter Wright, served from 2000-03 as executive director at the Max De Press Center for Leadership in Pasadena. Other plenary session speakers include NNU alumna Dr. Tammy Condon who served as cross-cultural church planter, pastor, non-profit director, college professor and administrator; Dr. Ed Robinson, director of Leadership Studies and Servant Leadership at NNU’s Wesley Center; and, Dr. Tom Nees who has been executive-and leadership-development consultant and coach in the nonprofit and faith-based world for over 35 years. Nees will also receive the NNU Centennial Medallion Award for “Alumni in Compassionate Service, Inner City Community Service” during the conference. Additional worship presenters will offer insights into leadership in various domains of life.
Free, live webcasting will provide more access to this year’s conference. Find more information about this year’s Wesley Conference, order DVDs of the plenary sessions, and find other free digital resources at www.nnu.edu/wesleyconf.
