NNU announces partnership with Society of Human Resource Management
Northwest Nazarene University’s Center for Professional Development (CPD) is now a Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) University Program Partner. NNU will offer approved SHRM courses this spring designed to help professionals earn continuing education units toward professional recertification.
This partnership will provide business professionals throughout the Northwest with specialized content to further enable their career development. NNU has the largest course catalog in professional development in the Northwest.
SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. Two new courses will be offered this coming spring: “Essentials of HR Management,” a course open to anyone seeking to learn or further develop expertise within the HR field and “2013 SHRM Learning System,” a course covering advanced topics in HR management and the certification prep courses for the HRCI’s Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
“NNU is excited to partner with SHRM to deliver HR training, and we look forward to developing individualized content for businesses and educators in more areas,” said Director of the Center of Professional Development Dave Covington.
NNU’s CPD offers accredited professional development in the areas of K-12 education, counseling, social work, organizational development, HR management and more. For more information regarding NNU’s SHRM offerings or to view the online course catalog, visit nnu.edu/cpd or call (208)467-8545.
