NNU honors 100 recipients with Centennial Medallions

One hundred of Northwest Nazarene University’s alumni and friends are being honored as part of the Centennial Celebration, highlighting the real and symbolic contribution of these individuals. All 100 recipients were announced at the Homecoming Chapel and Centennial Kickoff Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 9 during Homecoming & Family Weekend 2012, and the first 24 recipients were honored at that time as well. These recipients symbolize the sacrifice, commitment and achievements of hundreds of other alumni and friends of the University.

A total of 24 recipients were recognized at the chapel: representing University Leadership: Olive Winchester, Albert F. Harper, John E. Riley, Thelma Culver and Gilbert Ford; representing Esteemed Professors: T.E. Mangum, Sr.; representing University Staff, Leadership Through Service: Myron Finkbeiner, Robbyn L. Lande, Wanda McMichael, Gary L. Skaggs and Bruce D. Webb; representing Trustee Leadership: Monte L. Chitwood, Clifford C. Cowley and John E. Wordsworth; representing Student Leadership: Ken Hills, Helen Wilson, Kurt W. Finkbeiner and Amanda F. Marble; representing Alumni in Pastoral Ministry: Nate Roskam; representing Alumni Authors: Ann Kiemel Anderson; representing Alumni in Public Service: Byron Lee; representing Community and Volunteer Support: Len & Geri Back and B. Edgar Johnson; representing Leadership Through Generosity: Bob & Yvonne Helstrom.
