The Nampa Ministerial Association will host a two-mile walk/run Oct. 27, 2-4 p.m. sponsored by local churches of all faiths to raise funds and stock food donations for Nampa food distribution agencies. The walk/run will begin and end in front of NNU’s Johnson Sports Center located at 313 E. Dewey St. The community is invited to participate.

Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes for one of Nampa’s largest “Trunk-or-Treat” events immediately following the walk/run. The cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children plus a food donation.  An event t-shirt is available with an early registration.  Registrations must be completed by October 24 to be guaranteed t-shirt production time. Registration will also be open the day the day of the event.

If you are unable to attend, please consider donating food in the Johnson Sports Center lobby. With winter approaching, there is a high need for food for the distribution agencies. Your assistance is appreciated.  Non-perishable items and nutritious food such as canned goods, pasta, tuna, dried meats and dried beans are acceptable.
