Rev. Althea C. Taylor is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene and serves as the executive pastor for Bronx Bethany Church of the Nazarene. She formerly served as the coordinator for Nazarene Compassionate Ministries USA/Canada. In her role as coordinator, she helped to equip and resources the operation of more than 194 Compassionate Ministry Centers and promote the tangible expression of compassion through Nazarene churches across the United States and Canada.

In addition, she gave leadership to the compassionate and practical response of Nazarene Disaster Response and Work & Witness ministries. Rev. Taylor has also served as a board member of Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Inc., the compassionate arm of the Church of the Nazarene throughout the world. She has given service as a member of the Women Clergy Council, Urban Strategic Readiness Taskforce, Global Social Justice Committee, and Connecting A New Generation committee within the Church of the Nazarene.

Taylor holds a B.A. in business management, master of science in management of technology, and a master of divinity. Rev. Taylor has served as youth pastor, administrative pastor, and pastor for community outreach, and also as an executive director for Bronx Bethany Community Corporation, a compassionate ministry center (a not-for-profit subsidiary of the church). She has served on the Metro NY District NYI council and as a visiting adjunct professor to Caribbean Nazarene College, Trinidad West Indies. She speaks at conferences, special worship services, and training seminars.
