LEAD Retreat begins with a campus prayer walk
Before leaving for a retreat at Trinity Pines, 20 groups of student leaders walked through campus to pray for the University, faculty and staff for the new school year. Monday’s prayer walk was similar to prayer meetings held last spring by students praying for the school and each other.
This year’s LEAD Retreat theme is “It Starts with YOU.” Student leaders are encouraged to be spiritual leaders as well as student leaders on the NNU campus. Over 100 students participated this week because of the leadership positions they hold for the 2012-13 academic year (including SGA, RA’s, peer mentors, life group leaders, peer health educators, multi-cultural mentors, athletic team captains and class presidents).
