NNU Baseball to host Cancer Awareness Day
The Northwest Nazarene University baseball program and St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute have partnered to host Cancer Awareness Day tomorrow during the Crusaders doubleheader against Saint Martin’s University at Elmore Vail Field on the NNU campus.
The Crusaders will honor those in attendance who have been touched by cancer with a balloon release at 11:45 a.m. and will wear special ‘pink’ highlighted uniforms during the doubleheader against the Saints.
Donations and gift cards will be accepted as admission to the games and will be donated to St. Luke’s to benefit patient care.
Buffalo Wild Wings in Nampa also joins the Crusaders and St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute as a partner of the 2012 Cancer Awareness Day.
