Concert Band Invitational returns

The Northwest Nazarene University concert band invitational returns to campus Thursday, February 9, at 7p.m. in the Brandt Center’s Swayne Auditorium.

This year, NNU hosts bands from Lone Star and West Middle Schools, as well as the concert band and wind ensemble of Nampa High School. Lone Star and West Middle will perform three pieces together: “Montevista,” by Robert W. Smith and “Pueblo (Land of Ancient Peoples),” by John Higgins. Nampa High School Concert Band will then join Lone Star and West as they perform “Acclamations” by Ed Huckeby.

The concert will conclude with the NHS wind ensemble and NNU concert band performing Frank Tichelli’s piece “Angels in the Architecture.” This event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact NNU’s Department of Music 467-8413.
