President David Alexander comments on Steve Appleton

February 3, 2012, 4:49 pm

The Treasure Valley lost a dynamic business leader today, Steve Appleton, chairman and CEO of Micron Technology.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Dalynn (wife), his children and his family as well as his colleagues at Micron.

Although Steve’s connection to the University was indirect, the impact of Micron Technology to our community is closely tied.  As an employer of many NNU graduates, student interns, current NNU students and a recent supporter of our engineering program we are reminded of and grateful for his leadership in our community.

The significance of his ongoing commitment to and investment in higher education throughout the state has positively impacted Idaho students and their success.
