NNU receives $55,000 from Brandt Foundation

Thursday, John H. & Orah I. Brandt Foundation Secretary Lawrence Gray presented Northwest Nazarene University President David Alexander with a $55,000 grant. $20,000 will be invested in the ongoing Steinway concert grand piano fundraising campaign, and the remaining $35,000 will provide student scholarships for the current academic year.

President Alexander expressed his appreciation stating, “The Brandt Foundation has been a long-time partner with the University and we are extremely grateful for their generous contributions to the mission of NNU.”

The Brandt Foundation is committed to actively supporting private and public education and other community endeavors. In the year 2010 alone, the Foundation granted a total of $514,000 in assistance to Northwest Nazarene University, the Biblical Studies Center, Love Inc., Nampa Christian Schools, the Nampa Salvation Army, Lighthouse Rescue Mission, Freedom Foundation, Valley Crisis Center, Boys and Girls Club, the Nampa Syringa House, the College of Western Idaho and Boise State University.
