NNU forensic team takes honors

Northwest Nazarene University’s forensics team just returned from the Gem State Classic Forensics Tournament, the first tournament of the season, held at Boise State University, where they competed against eleven other schools from Idaho, Utah, Montana and Oregon in the novice and senior divisions.

Allison Hawn, Eagle, Idaho, took second place in Senior After Dinner Speaking and third place in Senior Programmed Oral Interpretation; Heather White, Hillsboro, Ore., earned third place as a semi-finalist in Senior International Public Debate; and Jessica Rogers, Coram, Mont., placed third in Novice Informative Speaking.

Competition will continue at the next tournament located at Lewis and Clark College, Portland, Ore., Oct. 7-10. For more information, contact Professor Adamson at MBAdamson@nnu.edu.
