Northwest Nazarene University’s film and television department announces open auditions for musical groups to perform in its seventh annual ‘An Idaho Family Christmas’ show. This 60-minute Christmas special is sponsored by United Heritage Financial Group and will air on Idaho’s News Channel 7 and its sister stations approximately 15 times during the Christmas season.
“We’re looking for all types of talent,” program director Arnold Ytreeide said, “solos, ensembles, small choirs, instrumentals—any age and any style of performance. This is a variety show and we’d like to have a lot of variety in our auditions.”

‘An Idaho Family Christmas’ is produced by students and faculty of NNU’s Department of Communication Studies. The ‘variety’ in this Christmas show includes geographic variety, according to senior producer Troy Watters. “This isn’t an NNU- or a Nampa-Family Christmas,” Watters said. “This is an Idaho family Christmas show and we’re hoping to attract individuals from throughout the state to perform.”

A CD or DVD may be submitted for auditioning purposes. Complete details are available at www.nnu.edu/Christmas or by contacting Prof. Arnold Ytreeide, Northwest Nazarene University 208-467-8256.
