During the Regional Main Event at NNU, Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing Dr. Eric Forseth presented the Timothy Award to Reverend Ed Belzer, who is currently serving his second term as the Northwest Region Nazarene Youth International President.

The Timothy Award gives the Church of the Nazarene an opportunity to recognize, in a tangible way, outstanding service, sacrifice, and personal commitment to youth. The award embodies the words of the Apostle Paul, who in Philippians 2:20 recognized Timothy’s commitment to the needs of others.

Director of Admissions Stacey Berggren stated about Belzer, “Ed’s leadership literally transformed the Northwest region into a more effective catalyst for influencing youth.” During the time in which Belzer served in his role as Northwest Region NYI President, the Regional Main Event has grown from 200 to 700 students.

In conclusion of the award presentation Reverend Fred Fullerton, NNU vice president for spiritual and leadership development, presented the Timothy Award plaque to Belzer. Dr. Eric Forseth then presented an honorarium and a memory book recognizing Ed Belzer’s 10 total years of service on the NYI Northwest Regional Council.
