Northwest “Main Event” invades NNU campus
Seven hundred junior high and high school students from throughout the Northwest will be welcomed to the campus of Northwest Nazarene University for the Regional Main Event on Friday April 24. Students will participate in competitions and events while connecting with faculty and current students.
Exciting and entertaining activities will take place throughout the weekend including Bible quizzing competitions, intramural sports tournaments, dodge ball, Frisbee golf and skateboarding. Talent competitions will also be judged. NNU tuition scholarships will be given to students earning first, second and third place in specified categories.
This year’s keynote speaker is Mark Holcomb, assistant professor of Christian education at Olivet Nazarene University. In addition to his teaching duties, Holcomb is vice president of Nazarene Youth International and an accomplished speaker. Holcomb will be joined by NNU alumnus Scot Mortimer who will lead worship. Mortimer is the worship leader at Mill Creek Foursquare Church in Lynnwood, Wash.
