Northwest Nazarene University is pleased to present Godspell, which will be performed March 5-7 as the annual spring musical.

Based on the Gospel of Matthew, Godspell features an everyday life story of memorable characters growing up, learning from and teaching each other and discovering true wisdom.

From its first performance in 1970, the musical has become one of the most beloved plays of recent times. One of its songs, Day By Day, reached the Billboard Top 25 list in 1972.

Freshman Eli Kamplain, Nampa, ID, will lead the cast as Jesus, and junior Jared Seckler, Albany, Ore, will be playing John the Baptist and Judas Iscariot.

Godspell will run from March 5-7. All shows will be at 7:30 pm in the Swayne Auditorium, located at 700 Fern St. in Nampa. Ticket prices are $10 for general admission and $8 for students and seniors. For more information, contact director Rick Strader at 467-8790.
