December 12, 2008, 3:23 pm

Northwest Nazarene University professors Dr. Thomas Oord and Dr. Darin Grinder invite the public to join them in the compilation of the book, Love Among Us. The collection will be co-edited by Oord, a professor of theology and philosophy, and Grinder, a professor of American literature, and is produced in conjunction with the Wesley Center conference “Christian Love: Theory and Practice.”

Love Among Us will include short stories, narratives, poems and other types of literature written by the general public and related to the title. “The collection is oriented around themes and issues pertaining to the love of God here with us now, lived out through broken, real people and revealed through nature,” Oord said. Submissions should follow these parameters: short stories: up to 2,400 words; creative nonfiction: up to 1,200 words; poetry: up to 500 words; other forms of literature: contact Dr. Darrin Grinder for parameters. All works are due by January 1, 2009.

For more information or to submit a work, please contact Dr. Darin Grinder atdlgrinder@nnu.edu.
