For nearly a year, NNU has been commemorating her centennial through luncheons, special chapels, homecoming reunions and other memorable moments. On Thursday, October 10 at the Boise Centre, that celebration reaches a new and elegant height as the centennial is taken to the greater Treasure Valley by way of the Centennial Gala—a spectacular black-tie evening event of historical displays, multimedia presentations and a showcase of some of NNU’s finest alumni in leadership. Join us in telling NNU’s story of rich academics and spiritual heritage. An hors d’oeuvre reception begins at 6:15 p.m. followed by a dinner celebration at 7 p.m.
As part of the Gala celebration, President Alexander will honor twenty-two of NNU’s one hundred Centennial Medallion recipients—individuals chosen to represent the service, sacrifice and success of thousands. The individuals to be honored are Perla M. Aragon, John and Orah Brandt, Jeffrey D. Carr, Jerry and Muriel Caven, Tom Dale, Richard A. Hagood, Ken Harward, Rick Hieb, Kent Hill, LaDeana W. Hillier, James W. Jackson, Christine L. Johns, Dennis L. Johnson, Jeff C. Kinneeveauk, Randal L. Newcomb, Stan L. Olson, Monty and Anne Ortman, Ralph H. Palmen, Harold and Phyllis Thomas, Jennifer Roemhildt Tunehag, Stephen M. Walden and Kenneth F. Watson.
