Spiritual Life

ALL THINGS GOOD

NNU’s close-knit community is rooted in love for one another and love for God.

NNU seeks to create an atmosphere of spiritual life in which students and faculty alike challenge one another to examine, articulate, own and live out their faith in all aspects of their lives. No matter your background or where you are on your faith journey, our desire is to see you explore and deepen your own faith.

This is a place where you can grow in your faith and talk about it. This is a place where you can safely ask tough questions and find honest answers in a community rooted in mutual respect and love. This is a place where you can expect to encounter Jesus as part of your everyday interactions–no matter where you are or what you’re doing.

Intentional Opportunities for Spiritual Growth

Campus-wide worship services

Campus-wide worship services including chapel (traditional service led by our chaplains or guest speakers and offered 3 times per week) and Timeout (student-led gathering held every Wednesday night).

Student-led opportunities

Weekly student-led opportunities including Bible studies, 18:20 life groups, accountability groups and time set aside to meet with your peer mentor or RA.

Daily interactions with professors

Daily interactions with professors who are committed to spiritually mentoring you through intentional Christ-centered interaction in and out of the classroom.

Local and international service opportunities

Local and international service opportunities that give you a chance to make a difference in your world as you serve alongside friends, faculty and other community members (often while earning academic credit.)

Spiritual life is who we are

Although there are many intentional opportunities at NNU for you to develop your spiritual life, it is important to know that spiritual life is who we are and in EVERYTHING we do. At NNU we are invested in helping you transform into the person God has created you to be so that you, in turn, can go out and transform the world for good.

Chapel

Chapel provides an intentional time and space for the NNU community to come together to listen, learn, worship, pray and grow together as we reflect upon how God is working on our campus. Tune into chapel every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning at 10:10 a.m.
