Welcome to Northwest Nazarene University and Culver Hall. We are looking forward to a new and exciting year in the freshman residence halls. My name is Mark Baas and I will be your Resident Director for the coming year. My RA staff and I are excited to get to know you, and are planning on some fun events to help you get to know your fellow class mates.
Culver Hall has recently been had several updates that I hope you will enjoy. The lobby area has been updated and the bathrooms have been newly remodeled. Below you will find important information concerning room size and the amenities of the building. If you have any questions please feel free to call student development at 467-8644.

Each room (15' x 11') has:
- A/C and heat with individual room temperature control
- 2 networked computer ports (computers not provided)
- Voice mail system (phones not provided)
- Carpet Floor
- 2 loft beds (6'4" x 3'2") extra long twin mattress may be positioned at different heights (tool-less system)
- 2 closets (4' x 2')
- 2 desks (3.5' x 2.5')
- Window blinds
- Wall-mounted shelf/light
Each wing has:
- A bathroom with multiple showers.
Lobby Areas (each designated for a different purpose)
- 1st Floor: Entrance to residence hall, Lounge with Pool table, Satellite TV, piano, sink, microwave, Pizza Oven, Ping Pong Table, Foosball Table Fireplace, Resident Director Apartment, Vending Machines
- 2nd Floor: Study Lounge, Laundry Room
- 3rd Floor: Study Lounge, Computer lab with network connections
Please Note
Academic Advising highly recommends leaving TV's, VCR's, Nintendo/Playstation Systems, etc. at home first semester, to facilitate an optimum transition to university life, both academically and socially.
The coming year will bring lots of firsts in your life. Come prepared to have a great time, step out of your comfort zone, meet many new faces, and see what the Lord has in store for you. Your Resident Assistants are committed to making this year an incredible one. They will be working together with a team of other students to make your wing a welcoming place to live.
