Odd Jobs

Students who prefer flexible work schedules are encouraged to sign up for the Odd Jobs List.

People in the community regularly contact the NNU Career Center seeking student assistance with projects, including help with catering, child care, housekeeping, paper work (typing, computer, grading papers, etc.), physical labor, tutoring, yardwork, and more.  The Career Center acts as a liaison between community members and students for these paid positions.

Students who are interested in participating on the Odd Jobs List must complete an Odd Jobs Survey and submit it to the Career Center.

  • When the Career Center is contacted by community members, we will contact students about opportunities via telephone or email.
  • The rate of pay is determined by the employer and the student, preferably in advance.
  • When responding to an odd job request, students are encouraged to inform friends of their work location.
