Research and Testing Engineer 

DESCRIPTION

IAS is looking for an energized, flexible self-starter to fill a full-time opening for a Research and Testing Engineer at its central lab in Nampa, Idaho. This position reports to the Technical and Quality Manager and the main responsibilities are as follows: • Participates in laboratory testing, such as QA/QC testing, formulation evaluation and new product development; • Performs troubleshooting and maintenance of lab and key process support equipment; • Performs a variety of engineering tasks in areas of analysis, research, design, development or testing of new products and modifications of existing product; • Works with other functional groups within business including Marketing, and Manufacturing in order to investigate new opportunities and help solve application problems of our products. 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred education BS in Science or Engineering. Other majors will also be considered based on candidate other qualifications. Experiences in the scientific instrumentation field and plant manufacture process are desirable. Product testing, regulatory compliance and training experience would all be a plus, but are not required. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, be computer literate, experienced in MS office software, possess solid interpersonal and analytical skills. Competitive compensation package depends on degree of education and experience

HOURS/DAYS

Normal work hours are 8:00AM – 5:00PM Monday – Friday. Overtime, weekends, and alternate work schedules may be required during peak season – Flexibility in work hours is a must.

IC Design Engineer

DESCRIPTION

American Semiconductor is looking for highly motivated engineers who want to be on the leading edge of design for physically flexible and conformal CMOS integrated circuits and systems for a wide variety of applications and markets. Experience designing digital, analog and/or RF CMOS integrated circuits is desirable, but we will consider applicants at all levels of education and experience. If you want to make a difference in the direction of advanced flexible CMOS circuit design and Flexible Hybrid Systems, this is your opportunity. 

EDUCATION

BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. We will consider applicants at all levels of education. 

RockSat experience would be a plus.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Analog and/or RF CMOS design experience or related academic course work is mandatory. The ideal candidate will have experience designing integrated circuits in sub-micron SOI CMOS processes. 

DESIRED SKILLS

•   Experience using IC design CAD tools for digital, analog or RF circuit design

•   Laboratory testing skills to evaluate prototypes and validate performance to specifications.

•   Motivated to carry out a wide variety of tasks.
