DESCRIPTION | Entering and maintaining the account payable records to ensure that invoices are paid accurately and timely. |
Job responsibilities include: | |
Reviewing all invoices for appropriate documentation, approval, or goods, reception, including matching invoices to receiving documents, and input invoices into system. | |
Review and approve proposed payments to vendors | |
Maintain any necessary accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and files. | |
Research vendor statements, phone calls, and discrepancies as needed. | |
Organize, match and track return/refund paperwork | |
Prepare and enter journal entries and G/L account reconciliations if necessary. | |
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS | An Associate's degree in accounting or at least two years of applicable work experience is required. |
Advanced Excel skills and a working knowledge of Word are necessary | |
Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, accurate numeric data entry, and strong commitment to providing quality customer service are essential. | |
Experience with AS/400 is preferred. | |
