Planning & Research: Field Report Writing for Police - Work with patrol and booking deputies, records technicians, County IT and other partners to help develop a paperless field report writing system for departmental reports. | |
Community Resources: Developing Youth Yellow Pages and Officer Resource Cards, and the Ada County Bicycle Registration Program. | |
Community Information - Video Production: Shoot footage during ride-alongs, jail and other events and develop video or videos for areas of the Ada County Sheriff's Office. | |
Juvenile Investigations: Research best practices nation wide for school safety plans and develop school safety plans for Ada County. This would include interviewing school admin., teachers, and school resource officers and then writing the plan. | |
STEP (Selective Traffic Enforcement Program: Work on an unbiased policing project performing some data analysis and preliminary studies on traffic issues. May also include traffic studies. Intern may also assist with VIN number checks and abandoned vehicle coordination. | |

| PROGRAM | Internship in Washington D.C. through Georgetown University. The program has two tracks: Public Policy and International Policy. This program allows approximately 300 hourse of professional intership experience. The package includes houseing, intership placement, courses for credit, and special events. This is a great opportunity to interact with other student leaders from around the country and the world. |
