1950s and earlier



Judith (Wrightsman) Taylor –76- is retired following nearly 25 years as a clerk with the US Postal Service. Judith lives in Boise.

Frances (Tish) Huffman -76- has been hired as the CEO of Tesh, a Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, nonprofit, which offers life and job skills training, counseling and child development services to Kotoenai County residents with disabilities. Since 2008, Frances served as director of special services for Coeur d'Alene School District.

Don -70- and Barbara (Kaye) -73- Climer are again enjoying part time employment in guest services with the Seattle Mariner baseball team, working for their fifth year on the lower level at Safeco Field known as The Pen.


George Zickefoose -87- completed a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. He, along with his wife Heidi -87-, have taken positions at International Community School in Ethiopia. George will be the Elementary Assistant Principal and Heidi will be an English and Humanities teacher. 

Laura E. Burri -83- recently moved her law practice to the law firm of Morrow & Fischer, PLLC of Nampa, Idaho. She was previously a partner at Ringert Law Chartered in Boise, Idaho from 1986 to 2014.

Dan Vogt -82- has been named as the new principal at Twin Falls High School.  He has been at Twin Falls High for eight years, most recently serving as Vice-Principal.  

Patricia (Cooper) Burgess -83-, in her 30th year of teaching at the elementary level, was honored honored this spring by the Elk Grove School District as teacher of the year. Patricia is presently in a doctoral program at Univ. of the Pacific as well.

Julie vanBeek Heisey -89- , head women's basketball coach at Seattle Pacific Univ. and former NNU standout, was invited to share her experience and perspective at the Women in Sports Career Seminar, hosted by the GNAC at the Washington Covention and Trade Center in Seattle. 


Andrew Zirschky -97- graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Princeton Theological Seminary on May 24, 2014. The Doctor of Philosophy is the highest academic degree earned in theological study. Andrew lives with his wife Kristina (Hedstrom) -95- and their two children in Spring Hill, Tenn.

Lance Nelson -BA-95/MS-06- has returned to his home town of Coos Bay, Ore. with wife, Anna, and their three children Savannah (13), Isabella (10) and August (3), and taken the position of Integrated Behavioral Health Program Manager for Waterfall Community Health Centers there. Waterfall clinics operate three non-profit clinics throughout the county serving as the "safety net clinic" for those homeless, uninsured and with other barriers to medical and mental health care. 

Steve Wyborney -92- is an award-winning teacher and instructional coach. He is well known for his use of instructional technology and his passion for mathematics. In 2005, Steve was named the Oregon Teacher of the Year. He is also the author of the 25 Common Core Math Lessons for the Interactive Whiteboard series for grades 1-6.


Scott Nelson Foster -05- has completed a portrait commissioned by the Musicians of Ma'alwyck. Katria in Valencian Dress (After Sorolla) was completed during the Musician's concert "The Matador's Prayer: A Celebration of Spanish Music & Culture." The painting can be viewed on the artist's website at Mr. Foster is an Assistant Professor of Studio Art at Siena College, and lives in Albany, New York with his wife, Katria.

Shannon (Grigory) Herndon  -00- and her husband, Josh are serving as commissioned missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene in Spain. 

Abram Walton -01- has spent two years as a professor at Florida Tech and has been at the helm of launching and managing several international organizations related to the science of innovation, such as the International Journal of Innovation Science. He was also an invited fellow for the National Knowledge & Intellectual Property Management Task Force, has published numerous articles on innovation-related topics, and achieved certification for Research Commercialization from the National Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer.

Carrie Goldsmith -01- has become a Mobilizer for Extreme Nazarene. She will be traveling around the Northwest, speaking at churches, recruiting young adults to go plant churches in South America. 

Jillian (Jenson) Viles -09- completed a Masters of Arts Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology in July, 2014, from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a. Jillian resides in Prineville, Oregon.

Juli Wozniak -MEd-06/13- has taken the helm at Gearhart Elementary School in the Seaside, Oregon, School District.  Juli and her family will be re-locating from Fruitland, Idaho taking with her 12 years teaching experience and two masters degrees from NNU.

Laryssa Mereszczak -05- continues to pursue her life-long dream to be a professional beach volleyball player.  She is presently ranked 33rd in individual AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) women's rankings and ninth in team rankings with her partner Megan Wallin, from Michigan State.

Scott Nelson Foster -05- has recently completed two portraits of the Patroness of the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish of Schenectady, New York. The paintings celebrate the life of St. Kateri Tekakwitha, a 17th century Mohawk woman, born in the Mohawk river valley of upstate New York. Images of the paintings can be viewed on Scott's blog: Foster is an Assistant Professor of Creative Arts at Siena College, and lives with his wife Katria in Albany, New York. 

Benjamin Warren -02- is one of Idaho Business Review's newest class of 40 Accomplished Under 40 in Idaho. Selections are based on professional accomplishments, leadership skills, community involvement and long term goals.  Beji is a financial consultant with Rathbone Warwick & Daly Investment Consulting in Boise.

Kevin Loosli -05- was promoted to Sergeant in the Twin Falls PD, and has been with the force since 2005. 


Michael Corbett -EDS-13- is the new principal of Oakley High School in Cassia County School District of Eastern Idaho. Michael earned an undergraduate degree at Utah State and a counseling degree from Idaho State before completeing an Education Specialist degree at NNU. Michael and his wife Jamey live in Shelly and have four children.

Jonathan Hawkins -14- has found himself in the center of a professional basketball whirlwind. In March, Hawkins went from substitute teaching in Washington D.C. to helping Jurmala in the Latvian LBL league make history.  He now heads to Gold Coast, Australia to play professional ball from September through December as part of a unique ministry opportunity. Jon will be doing full-time ministry five days a week at a Christian high school in addition to practicing with the pro team owned by the high school in an Australian league similar to the NBA-D-League.

Jordan Nicholes -14- will make his professional basketball debut playing for the Westfalen Mustangs in the second-highest professional league in Germany, following a summer working in NBC basketball camps in Alaska.
