Richard Etulain -58- has a new book out on Calamity Jane and another one that was accepted by the University of Oklahoma press.

1980s

Dennis Schwartz -86- has been hired by MacKay Sposito, a Vancouver-based consulting firm specialized in energy, public works and land development. Shwartze will serve as its director of energy and will lead and expand the company’s energy division.

George Zickefoose -87- completed a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. He, along with his wife Heidi -87-, have taken positions at International Community School in Ethiopia. George will be the Elementary Assistant Principal and Heidi will be an English and Humanities teacher. 

Rev. Joe McMahan -80- became an Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) Supervisor, at the National Certification Commission Meeting in Decatur, Georgia.

1990s

Gina (Grate) Pottenger -98- moved with her husband, Andrew in October 2014 to Manchester, U.K, where he is beginning his three-year PhD research in church history at Nazarene Theological College-Manchester. While Andrew is studying, Gina will continue her full-time position as a missionary to the Eurasia Region. She juggles three areas of responsibility: Managing editor of the denomination's online mission magazine called Engage (www.engagemagazine.com); editor of the denomination's Eurasia Region publications (www.eurasiaregion.org); and now additionally volunteering one day per week in publicity for NTC. 

Laury (Livsey) Dyke -91- is now weekend supervisor at the new New York City Rescue Mission Women's Shelter.  The NYCRM is the oldest mission in the country (1842) and because of expansion has just opened it's doors this summer to help women in the city.  See God at work in the lives of these women and consider volunteering a few hours of your time when you visit NYC!  (ldyke@nycrescue.org)

Steve Wyborney -92- is an award-winning teacher and instructional coach. He is well known for his use of instructional technology and his passion for mathematics. In 2005, Steve was named the Oregon Teacher of the Year. He is also the author of the 25 Common Core Math Lessons for the Interactive Whiteboard series for grades 1-6.

Grant Zweigle -93- completed a Doctor of Ministry degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary in May, 2014. Grant has been appointed Dean of Students at Asia Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary in Manila, Philippines. His family will move to Manila in January, 2015 as Mission Corps volunteers with the Church of the Nazarene. 

Jamie (Mullen) Hess -98- has recently been married and moved to Maui, Hawaii with her husband and has received her National Board Certification as an elementary teacher. 

2000s

Bob Van Allen -01- was recently named President and CEO of Coldwell Banker Tomlinson Group, one of the leading residential real estate brokerages in the Treasure Valley.  In this position, Bob manages 4 branch offices and approximately 250 real estate professionals, serving home buyers and sellers throughout Southwestern Idaho.

Scott Nelson Foster -05- has completed a portrait commissioned by the Musicians of Ma'alwyck. Katria in Valencian Dress (After Sorolla) was completed during the Musician's concert "The Matador's Prayer: A Celebration of Spanish Music & Culture." The painting can be viewed on the artist's website at scottnelsonfoster.blogspot.com. Mr. Foster is an Assistant Professor of Studio Art at Siena College, and lives in Albany, New York with his wife, Katria.

Shannon (Grigory) Herndon  -00- and her husband, Josh are serving as commissioned missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene in Spain. 

Abram Walton -01- has spent two years as a professor at Florida Tech and has been at the helm of launching and managing several international organizations related to the science of innovation, such as the International Journal of Innovation Science. He was also an invited fellow for the National Knowledge & Intellectual Property Management Task Force, has published numerous articles on innovation-related topics, and achieved certification for Research Commercialization from the National Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer.

Carrie Goldsmith -01- has become a Mobilizer for Extreme Nazarene. She will be traveling around the Northwest, speaking at churches, recruiting young adults to go plant churches in South America. 

Kevin Loosli -05- was promoted to Sergeant in the Twin Falls PD, and has been with the force since 2005. 

Matthew Neale -01- received Lane County’s Rising Star award. This award recognizes young rising stars in the Lane County business community who are chosen for achievements and for the potential to have an impact on Lane County – and beyond. Neal is the youngest owner of an ophthalmology office in Eugene, provides cutting edge medical procedures, is a board certified surgeon, and has been published in multiple medical journals for work in eye care.

Mitch Kochis -08- was named Woodland High School's baseball coach. Kochis will be coaching the team that finished second in state last year. 

Amanda Cooper -04- serves as the Alaska Health and Disability Program Manager. Amanda’s focus areas include health promotion and emergency preparedness for Alaskans with disability. Amanda received her Master of Public Health degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage and her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Northwest Nazarene University.

Kris Jonas -07 STEP- has created a business called Pixcell8. Through the website or app, individuals can cell images to businesses in need of natural-looking images for their advertising needs. Pixcell8 takes every image that is sold and gives 20% of the sale price to one of eight vetted non-profit organizations featured on the website. 

2010s

Brady Adams -MBA-13- has joined Zions Bank as a treasury relationship manager. Adams was the first MBA graduate from Idaho Falls and Distant learning. 

Janee (Olds) Brumfield -12- will be inducted to the hall of fame at North Bend High School and is named Class 3A player of the year as a senior after leading the Bulldogs to their first state title in any girls team sport. She is now the head girls basketball coach for Homedale High School and lives with her husband, Dustin, in Nampa, Idaho.
