About UA

The Office of University Advancement at Northwest Nazarene University is responsible for the development of relationships with NNU’s alumni and friends; local and regional business and government leaders; and local, regional, and national corporations and foundations of all types. By interacting with these constituents, the Advancement Office assists the University in identifying those who believe in and wish to support NNU in achieving her mission – “the development of Christian character within the philosophy and framework of genuine scholarship.” University Advancement at NNU is also responsible for assisting the University in its long-range planning (particularly related to the campus master plan), developing volunteer leadership for the advancement effort, and serving as the primary interface with the Northwest Nazarene University Foundation, Inc.
Advancement, then, is an effort on the part of the entire University to obtain the resources necessary to achieve its long-range goals. The Board of Trustees and the Advancement Office seek to encourage organized, effective fund-raising by an ever-broadening base of supporters. The Office of University Advancement is staffed with professionals who are involved full-time in the friend-raising and fund-raising efforts of the University. Our efforts include providing assistance to faculty, staff, administrators and volunteers in the identification of prospective donors, preparation of grant proposals, coordination of gift solicitation, and processing of gifts.
NNU’s University Advancement Team consists of those involved in Alumni Relations, annual giving to the University Fund, Major Gift Development, Scholarship Endowments and Planned Giving. I invite you to follow the specific links on this page to learn more about how you can be involved in assisting NNU as we prepare students with the knowledge, skills, character and compassion, to face the challenges of the future.
