Spiritual Growth and Character
Growing in the Spirit
Your spiritual growth is important to NNU. Whether you hold to a religious belief or not, NNU wants to come alongside you in your search for truth. We also want to share with you our compelling love for Jesus and offer you ways to love others through service and friendship.
Chapel is central to the life of the NNU community, and is held three times a week in the Brandt Center. Students will experience inspiring and diverse worship, and hear meaningful Christian messages from our university chaplain and other special speakers. For chapel requirements, visit the student handbook.
There are a number of opportunities to serve in the community and grow spiritually. You can participate in a wide variety of service projects and ministry clubs that serve elderly, homeless, disabled, and refugee peoples.
Spiritual Formation Groups
Students living in freshman dormitories may choose to join a weekly student-led Bible study on their wing. These groups explore how the Bible applies to their lives, and enjoy building friendships and supporting one another.
