Summer Session

Session Dates

Summer is a perfect time to make progress toward your degree. Smaller class sizes and a relaxed atmosphere make learning fun. Sessions are offered May through August in seven and eight week courses. For specific course dates and classes please refer to the Summer Session Course Bulletin.

1st session begins on May 8, 2023
2nd session begins on July 10, 2023

Registration Process - Current NNU Students

Because you are a current student, you can register for summer session through the NNU portal. Be sure you have your advisor clear you for summer registration first.
Check out the summer session course bulletin to find which summer courses you want to take.

Registration Process - Non-current NNU Students

Step 1

A: If you are not a current student at NNU but have applied and been accepted to be a student this fall, you do not need to re-apply. Go to Step 2.
B: If you are a student at another university and plan to just take a class at NNU this summer, apply as a Temporary Non-Degree student using our Online Non-Traditional Admissions Application.

Step 2

Review the summer session course bulletin to determine which summer courses you want to take.

Step 3

After you’ve been accepted to NNU, register for Summer Session (opens March 1) and tell us which courses you want to take.

Summer Session Tuition & Fees

Course fees may apply. Check the course bulletin for more information.

Summer Session cost per credit: $450
Technology fee (per semester): $100

Due Dates:
Payment and/or satisfactory financial arrangement of the balance due on a student’s account must be completed the Friday prior to the first day of the semester. Any student not meeting the due day may be subject to a late fee of up to $150.

All withdrawals are subject to a $100 withdrawal fee if the withdrawal occurs after the add/drop date of the semester.

Failure to attend class or receive a bill does not absolve the student of their financial obligation.

When a student is no longer enrolled at NNU and fails to pay their account as agreed, the account balance will be referred to a third party for collection and a collection fee will be assessed and will be due in full at the time of the referral to the third party. The collection fee will be calculated at the maximum amount permitted by applicable law, but not to exceed 40% of the amount outstanding. This includes but is not limited to, collection agency fees, and/or reasonable attorney.

A fee of $20 will be assessed for each check returned for insufficient funds.
