Northwest Nazarene University's semester abroad experience in Costa Rica is now taking applications. Starting Spring of 2013, students will be able to travel to Seminario Nazareno de las Americas (SENDAS) in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Experience the local culture and take flexible courses while living in this gated community just 5K from downtown San Jose.
Program Details
- 4 courses taken at SENDAS plus 1 additional course taken on-line (15 credit hours)
- Meets cross-cultural, tier 1 requirement
- 11 week stay includes 4 excursions
- Optional parents’ visitation week
Spring 2013 Trip Schedule
- Jan. 22-25, NNU
- Jan. 26-Apr. 13, SENDAS
- Apr. 13, Return to NNU to finish coursework or return home
How much does it cost?
This program is available to sophomores, juniors, and seniors at NNU. Regular NNU tuition, fees, and room and board rates apply. Students will be responsible for costs associated with airfare and other incidental items, such as passport fees, exit fees, personal items, etc.
How to Apply
Limited enrollment is available, so please apply for the Costa Rica semester abroad as soon as possible. Please submit your application before the end of the semester prior to the proposed semester of off-campus study.
If accepted, note the following will be required: A color copy of your passport and a copy of your insurance policy (this is necessary for the initial week and final two weeks of this program spent on the NNU campus). International insurance coverage will be provided for you through the semester abroad program fees.
