APPLICATION PROCESS

 

 

Admission Requirements

 

 

Students desiring the MBA degree will meet these admission requirements:

  1.  A baccalaureate (bachelor's) degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

  2.  A cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all academic course work. (Students with a GPA of less than 3.0 may be considered for provisional acceptance and may be allowed to begin class with the provision that they earn a 3.0 GPA during the first quarter of classes in order to be fully accepted into the program. )

  3.  Evidence of content knowledge for the following undergraduate courses:

  • Principles of Marketing
  • Principles of Management
  • Microeconomics

 

If a student has not taken these undergraduate courses, the requirements may be fulfilled as follows:

 

  • Special course content examination (such as CLEP exam), OR
  • Complete the course. The student may complete an approved course in the area(s) in which they are deficient.

 

Content exams credit completion (CLEP exams) for each of the above courses must be completed prior to beginning the program.

 

  4.  A favorable recommendation from the School of Business Graduate Committee. 

 

Exceptions to regular admission requirements must be approved by the School of Business Graduate Committee.

 

 

 

Application for Admission

 

 

Students desiring admission to the MBA program will complete the following:

  1. Submit an application online or obtain the application form from the School of Business Graduate Office.
  2. Submit a non-refundable $40 application fee.
  3. Provide evidence of competency in writing skills by submitting a personal essay.
  4. Submit an official transcript of all previous undergraduate and graduate work to the graduate office. (We do not accept faxed transcripts.)
  5. Submit two letters of recommendation from professional colleagues familiar with your ability.
  6. If English is not your native language, submit a minimum score of 550 (paper score) or 213 (electronic score) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
