Announcement: Northwest Nazarene University will make a transition from the Blackboard course management system to Angel Learning in Spring 2010. Face-to-face or online training is now available for instructors and support personnel. Please visit the Blackboard-to-Angel page for an overview video and details on the Learning Opportunities.
ePortfolios
Electronic portfolios allow students to build resumes and showcase their work for assessment by faculty and recruiting by employers. For the 2009-10 academic year, NNU is continuing to pilot the use of Folio by ePortaro.
Streaming Media
A do-it-yourself station for creating streamed content is available in Media Technology (Wiley Learning Center), or E-Learning Assistants can take care of this for you.
TurnItIn
NNU licenses this plagiarism-detection software to encourage academic integrity. Support and training materials are available for both faculty and students on the NNU TurnItIn support page.
Web 2.0
The phenomenon of social learning can have great impact on a course. NNU licenses Campus Pack by Learning Objects to help instructors incorporate wikis, blogs and podcasts into the academic environment. On the Web 2.0 support page, find definitions and resources.
